Madi Tanguay ​(20) is a freelance dancer and student in Los Angeles, California. She attributes her early inspiration and study to the pre-professional company Westside Dance Project (2016-2019), The YoungArts Foundation (2019), and Orange County School of the Arts (2015-2019). Graduating from Hubbard Street Dance Professional Program in 2020, she has begun to explore her own choreographic inquiries. Recently she has assisted and performed with Micalea Tayor and the TL Collective, including a residency in Colorado entitled ‘Winner’, as well as assisting workshops at B12 (Berlin) and USC (Los Angeles). She is working to expand her artistic practice through poetry, multimedia engagement, and her collaboration with Aminata Diop and other students, Ava Brock and Promise Ogunleye.

My name is Aminata Diop, and as an artist I go by puma*. Alt/ers is a dance and music about the spaces of solitude and ritual that allow us to come into our identities and connect with our bodies.
